Nonduality points us in the direction of our true nature, beyond our habitual and conditioned mind, into the heart of awareness itself.
As we meet each week, we examine who and what we are. Our thoughts and emotions come and go throughout our life. Yet there is something here that sees these thoughts and experiences emotions. Nonduality points to the fact that what we are is beyond thoughts. Most of us identify with our thoughts and then suffer as a result. But as we investigate, we find that we are actually vibrant, alive awareness. And by identifying with awareness as ourselves, we become free. Free to choose how to respond to life, instead of habitually reacting to what life brings us.
Also, in this group, participants will examine how Mindfulness skills can be used to meet difficulties in life; such as hopes, fears and anxieties, stress of any form, chronic pain, relationships, moods and emotions, our bodies and the nature of the self. In each group there will be a discussion on specific skills, a meditation and a participatory time for actively sharing and experimenting with Mindfulness practices. There will be a strong focus on personally applying Mindfulness skills to the practical matters of everyday living.
This group is for those who want to deepen their relationship with their practice and life. By examining where we are currently hooked; we can begin to free ourselves from passion, aggression, and ignorance. We will practice many different forms of meditation and mindfulness practices, in an effort, to uproot both conscious and unconscious hopes, fears, desires, beliefs and patterns that keep us stuck and suffering. This examination will be supported by experimenting with, and inquiring into our already, open and free nature. All are welcome; a registration fee is required, for space rental and materials. Class will be offered for donation. Participants can join anytime throughout the group.
