If we are going to gain any sense of timeless eternal freedom, we have to be willing to transcend our stories. By stories, I am referring to all the stories we have in our minds about life. All of our conditioning, all of our thoughts about what should and shouldn’t be. We all have so many stories, about our parents, our partners, our boss, our children, our governments. And if we are going to be free in a transcendent way, if we are going to be free of this world, we have to be willing to let go of all of our stories. We have to see through them and see that our thoughts about our life, about this world, are simply thoughts with no inherent truth, with no inherent Reality. To let go this deeply we have to humbly admit that nothing we think is the Truth of Reality. All of what we think is simply conditioned thoughts, about Reality. All of these thoughts make up our virtual reality; our stories about life. But when we step out of our stories and see the big picture, our stories quickly disappear. And so it can be deeply helpful to see the big picture if we want to let go; yet if we want to become freedom itself, we have to become the Big Picture.

To become the Big Picture, we have to step into and live in the space beyond identification with our minds; with our stories, with our past. We have to step into the eternal ever present moment which is here right now.
