Prayer begins when we actively open to communion with God. It does not have to be limited to time spent sitting on a meditation cushion or in a church. Prayer can be quite dynamic in our world, if we invite it into our lives. This presence of Grace can show up in us and through Us, as we walk in nature, or as we pick up our crying child. This presence can become alive as we shop for groceries or sit in a traffic jam. All that is required is for us to set the intention, for God’s grace to come into us and live through us.
To create this openness within us, often it is helpful to let go of the busyness of one’s own mind stream, and to simply become quiet. From the humility of our own heart space, we simply open to that which is Greater than us. We may begin to talk with God asking for help or support in some area of our lives. We may simply open our crown and heart chakra, and invite Her presence into us. We may even open our eyes and simply acknowledge Her beauty all around us—countless are the ways in which we can open to Her in our lives.
As we begin to open to this Divine relationship, we may discover that She too, is speaking to us all the time. She may even show up and surprise us throughout our day in a ray of sunlight, in the morning dew as our heart fills up with Her presence or perhaps, She comes forward in a wonderful synchronicity showing up in our lives. This rich relationship, has the power to transform our lives from an Earthly struggle, to the realization that Heaven is here upon the Earth, just waiting for us to open to it.
